Every year the Manitoba Museum’s Access for All community initiative provides complimentary passes for more than 60,000 visits for individuals living with special circumstances. We believe it is our civic responsibility to work with community groups and social service agencies to ensure all Manitobans have equal opportunity to access our exhibits and programs regardless of social or economic barriers.
In order to meet the needs of the community, the Manitoba Museum has established a number of special programs under the Access for All community initiative.
Youth-Access: Creating an Environment of Inclusion for Children and Youth
Whether it’s a trip to the Museum Galleries, Science Gallery or Planetarium, MuZZZeum sleepovers or summer day camp, for children and youth who face daily barriers and exclusion, Y-Access ensures equal access.
Call it Home: Welcoming Newcomers to Manitoba
The Museum is uniquely suited to welcoming newcomers and introducing them to Manitoba’s heritage, diversity, and history while providing an opportunity to enhance language skills.
Community Access: Opening the Doors for all Manitobans
From providing a day of carefree enjoyment to families facing challenging circumstances to free access during our Manitoba Day celebrations, the Manitoba Museum ensures no one gets left behind.
Community support is the driving force behind the development and continued success of the Access for All community initiative. Demand grows yearly, and meeting that need is made possible through your support.
