The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra is set to hit all the right notes with a performance based on the talents of Manitoba musicians and singers.
Winnipeg musician, historian and author, Owen Clark spent over fifteen years researching Manitoba’s Jazz scene and produced a wonderful historical narrative and documentary highlighting Winnipeg’s jazz scene. “Musical Ghosts: Manitoba’s Jazz and Dance Bands, 1914-1966” shares stories of Manitoba musician, singers, nightclubs, theatres, music stores, and dance halls.
Dance to the tempo or sip a beverage from our pop-up bar and imagine that you are transported to the ambience of a 1920s speakeasy during this performance.
This is a free event. No ticket is required. Space is limited.
This event is part of our monthly First Friday programming. Join us on the First Friday of every month from 4 pm to 9 pm for free general admission to our three core attractions – the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and Science Gallery.
