July 1 Schedule:

Introduction to the History of Colonialism in Canada

This 30-minute guided tour will highlight exhibits and artifacts that help tell the story of the colonial process in Canada, with a focus on events in the 17th and 19th centuries. We’ll look at the foundation of the Hudson’s Bay Company and eventual sale of Rupert’s Land, and examine the role of the military and police in the aftermath of the Red River Resistance.

Meet at the Bison Diorama in the Museum Galleries, 6:00 pm/7:00 pm

CommuniTEA

Join us for CommuniTEA, where you will experience friendships brewing over tea, coffee, and delicious desserts at the Manitoba Museum. Together, we will explore storytelling through the Manitoba Museum’s collections. It is through these stories we will build connection, belonging, and have warm conversations.

There will be two sittings of CommuniTEA and tickets are $10 for Museum Members and $15 for the general public.
