Hosted by Planetarium astronomer Scott Young, Dome@Home brings the wonders of the universe to anyone with an internet connection. The show’s content focuses on all of the celestial sights and special events that viewers can see over the next month.
Next show: Thursday, September 4, 2025 @ 7:00 pm (Central Time)
Note: The August 28 show is being moved back a week to September 4 due to scheduling conflicts.
For our first September Dome@Home episode, we’ll focus on the ringed planet Saturn, which reaches its best this month! We’ll address Saturn’s “disappearing rings” and the recent discovery of 128 new moons (added to the 146 existing ones – that’s a lotta moons!).
We’ll also take a look at some of the Perseid meteor pictures you sent in, chat about what’s up in the sky, and other cool space stuff.
