DinoSnores FAQ

  • When is DinoSnores happening?
    • Registration will be between 6 – 7 pm on August 26, and checkout will end on August 27 between 8:30 – 9 am.
  • Where will we be sleeping?
    • The sleeping area will be among the exhibits in the Science Gallery. Most areas are carpeted, but you may wish to bring a sleeping pad or small air mattress to make it a more comfortable experience. The Science Gallery is a safe and secure location, with easy access to washroom facilities.
  • My child is younger or older than the recommended ages of 8 to12, will they be able to attend the sleepover?
    • A: Yes, children between the ages of 5 to 14 are permitted to attend. We do caution parents against bringing younger children, partly due to the sleeping environment being less than optimal. Since you will be sleeping on the floor of the Science Gallery, along with all other attendees, there will be little privacy. Also, most lights in the Gallery will remain on until 11:30, and some lights will be kept on all night for safety reasons. Please give this careful consideration before registering young children for this event.
  • We don’t want to stay overnight; can we go home early?
    • Yes, you are welcome to spend the evening with us and then go home to sleep in your own bed. However, we will not be offering a discounted rate for those who leave before the end of the event. Re-admittance is not permitted
  • One of my family members has a food allergy or other dietary restriction, will there be food options available for us?
    • We will make an attempt to accommodate dietary restrictions. There will be vegetarian options available and gluten-smart options available upon request. For other dietary restrictions, outside food may be permitted, with prior notice. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at least a week prior to the sleepover.

What to Bring:

– Sleeping Bag (or cot/air mattress, air pump and blankets)
– Pillow
– PJs and clothes for the next day
– Indoor shoes or hard-soled slippers (bare feet or socks will not be permitted)
