The Manitoba Museum is thrilled to introduce Curator Conversations, an exciting new speaker series that brings you face-to-face with the experts who uncover the stories of our province – and beyond.

Join us in person as our passionate curators share fascinating insights into the realms of palaeontology, astronomy, botany, history, and zoology. Each session offers a rare opportunity to explore the science, history, and intrigue behind the Museum’s collections and research.

Upcoming Session: Finding Flowers: Creating a New Manitoba Flora
May 12, 2026 at 2:30 pm
Manitoba Museum Auditorium

What did it take to prepare the newest Museum publication, Manitoba Flora? Floundering in bogs. Bushwhacking forests. Searching for rare plants in remnant prairies. Boat rides in seldom-visited waterways. Countless hours hunched over a microscope looking at decades-old plant specimens. Join the Museum’s Curator of Botany Dr. Diana Bizecki Robson as she recounts her adventures.

Curator Conversations will connect you to the stories that shape our understanding of the natural and cultural world. Don’t miss your chance to engage, ask questions, and see the Manitoba Museum like never before! Explore other upcoming sessions.

Curator Conversations is free to attend, but we kindly encourage donations to help keep events like this possible. To support Manitoba Museum programming, donate here.
