The Manitoba Museum is thrilled to introduce Curator Conversations, an exciting new speaker series that brings you face-to-face with the experts who uncover the stories of our province – and beyond.

Join us in person as our passionate curators share fascinating insights into the realms of palaeontology, astronomy, botany, history, and zoology. Each session offers a rare opportunity to explore the science, history, and intrigue behind the Museum’s collections and research.

Upcoming Session: Curating the Universe
April 21, 2026 at 2:30 pm
Manitoba Museum Auditorium

The Planetarium is unlike the other areas of the Museum, since its “collections” include the entire universe! Still, planetarium staff “curate” the content, bringing the beauty and wonder of an incredibly-complex universe to the public in understandable and hopefully inspiring ways. Join Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young on a journey from the far reaches of space to the audience’s seat in the Planetarium.

Curator Conversations will connect you to the stories that shape our understanding of the natural and cultural world. Don’t miss your chance to engage, ask questions, and see the Manitoba Museum like never before! Explore other upcoming sessions.

Curator Conversations is free to attend, but we kindly encourage donations to help keep events like this possible. To support Manitoba Museum programming, donate here.
