Anishinaabemowin with Amik

Anishinaabemowin with Amik is a free, online language game to support learning and revitalization of Anishinaabemowin. Learn the names of animals native to Manitoba and found throughout our Museum Galleries. Whether you’re new to the language or reconnecting with it, this interactive experience offers a meaningful way to engage with Indigenous knowledge and culture. Anishinaabemowin with Amik is open to people of all ages and backgrounds and is accessible across devices.

The Museum commissioned Anishinaabe artist Micaela Gilbert (Connect on Instagram @artworkbymicaela) to create the game’s beautiful illustrations, and the Museum’s Indigenous Protocols Advisor, Carol Beaulieu, provided translations and voice recordings.

This initiative was made possible through the generous support of the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation®.
