Spring Break @ the Manitoba Museum

March 29 to April 6 • 10 am to 4 pm

Spring Break is back at the Manitoba Museum! March 29 through April 6, the Manitoba Museum is the place to be, with a week full of hands-on activities, a brand-new Planetarium show, and fun and interactive science!

Join us on a journey through time and across Manitoba in the Museum Galleries. Explore a trail of fascinating finds in the Galleries you might not otherwise see and investigate a variety of hands-on, pop-up activities happening all week – examine fossils millions of years old, touch furs and learn about the animals they came from, experience old fashioned technologies, and more.

Our brand-new Planetarium show, Voyage of the Stars, premiers Saturday, March 29! This family-friendly adventure follows two “stars” – a starfish and a shooting star – as they explore the world above and below the waves and uncover the similarities between space and the sea! Audience favorite Edge of Darkness also returns, with a deeper look at some of the most mysterious places in our solar system: dwarf planets, comets, asteroids, and even Pluto, which orbits the Sun at the “edge of darkness”.

Test the universal laws of science and explore the wonders of technology and illusion in the Science Gallery. Learn about the world around you through entertaining hands-on activities where you become the scientist.
