Contest Rules and Regulations

November 7, 2024 — Manitoba Museum Winnipeg Crest Drawing Contest Rules and Regulations 

1. General Eligibility

The “Manitoba Museum “City of Winnipeg crest drawing Contest” (the “Contest”) is open only for individuals 18 years or older and who fill out the online entry form and who reside in ManitobaEligible Participants who are under 18 (“Minor”) must have their parent or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the Contest and, if selected as a Tentative Prize Winner, must have their parent or legal guardian sign a declaration, waiver, and release required by these Official Rules & Regulations as a pre-condition to being declared a Winner.

2. Agreement to Rules

By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of the Manitoba Museum as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.

3. Campaign Period

Entries will be accepted starting November 8, 2024 – 8:00 am Central Standard Time (CST) and ending December 2, 2024 – 10:00 am CST. All entries must be received by December 2, 2024 – 10:00 am CST.

4. How to Enter

Visit and complete the contest entry form located on ManitobaMuseum.ca HERE and upload a file of your drawing during the dates outlined in the Campaign Period section above. 

The entry must fulfill all Campaign requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete, are not respectful (according to our social media code of conduct), or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Manitoba Museum staff.  

You may enter only once. You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices to circumvent the rules. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Manitoba Museum team.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be selected through two processes: a random draw under the supervision of the Manitoba Museum team. The Winner will be notified by their chosen contact method on December 6, 2024, following selection of the general draw winner and December 16, 2024, for the People’s Choice winner. The Manitoba Museum staff shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.  

If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 2 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this Campaign is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.  

Each Tentative Prize Winner (or, if such Tentative Prize Winner is a Minor, such Minor’s parent or legal guardian) must sign a declaration, waiver, and release, affirming they have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Rules, grants all consents required and as contemplated by these Rules, authorizes the Manitoba Museum to broadcast, publish, and disseminate their name, likeness, voice, performance, city of residence, and biographical information in connection with any promotion, publicity, or news, entertainment, and/or information purposes, without further consent and without compensation, and releasing the Manitoba Museum, its affiliates, representatives, employees, and agents from any and all liability of any kind whatsoever arising out of the Tentative Prize Winner’s participation in the Contest and/or receipt and execution of any prize awarded.

6. Prizes

There are two prize levels:  

  1. Random draw from all submitted entries for Four (4) All Attraction Passes for the Manitoba Museum.
  2. People’s Choice vote on Instagram – a panel of Museum experts will select a maximum of 4 submissions to be shared on the Manitoba Museum Instagram page. The drawing with the most votes will receive a yearlong Manitoba Museum Family Membership.

Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Manitoba Museum to use the Winner’s Faculty for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

7. Odds

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Manitoba Museum, its affiliates, representatives, employees, and agents, shall not be in any manner whatsoever be liable or responsible for theft, loss, technical malfunctions, computer and/or telephone network malfunctions, software problems, online traffic congestion, any human or computer-generated error, which may in any manner affect the receipt of Contest entries, the notification of winners, the awarding or distribution of any prize under the Contest.  

All Facebook™ and Instagram logos and trademarks displayed on this Contest are property of META.

9. Privacy

The Manitoba Museum will only be collecting email information from Contestants that select to opt-in to supply their email address. Information from Contestants that have not provided permission to be included in the Manitoba Museum email list will be deleted at the conclusion of the Contest.

10. Release of Meta

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Meta. Meta is completely released by each Eligible Participant in this Contest, from all liability arising in connection with the Contest. Any comments, questions, or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to the Manitoba Museum Team.

11. Release of City of Winnipeg

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with the city of Winnipeg. The city of Winnipeg is completely released by each Eligible Participant in this Contest, from all liability arising in connection with the Contest. Any comments, questions, or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to the Manitoba Museum Team.

12. General

If for any reason the online portion of this Contest is not capable of being completed as planned including, but not limited to computer virus, bugs, tampering, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of the Manitoba Museum, the Manitoba Museum reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest.  

The Manitoba Museum, its affiliates, representatives, employees, and agents assume no liability whatsoever for damage to any person, or to their computer or other property, arising from their actual or attempted participation in the Contest in any manner whatsoever, or in the awarding of any prize.
