The Manitoba Museum is excited to partner with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries to present our First Fridays programming! Join us on the First Friday of every month from 4 pm to 9 pm for free general admission to our three core attractions – the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and Science Gallery. No ticket is required for First Friday programming unless otherwise specified.

Celebrate Pride!

Winnipeg Gallery Theatre – 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Join us in the Winnipeg Gallery Theatre for an inspiring showcase of queer joy, identity, and resilience! Featuring Re-Emergence, honoring 35 years of the Two-Spirit movement, Trans Joy with Logan Oxenham, and vibrant pop-art portraits by Winnipeg’s own James Check.  Presented in partnership with the International Day of Pink.

NEW EXHIBIT The Museum Collection Illuminated 

Discovery Room – 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm

The Museum Collection Illuminated presents a snapshot of the diverse and extensive work undertaken throughout the Museum’s history of collecting.

Guest Scientists: Living Laboratory

Earth History Gallery4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Visit University of Manitoba researchers at their Living Laboratory in the Earth History Gallery. The Living Laboratory is an educational research experience where visitors of all ages can learn about the development of the human mind by participating in fun hands-on research studies and games.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Celebrate Ocean Week with a Water Walk!  

Outdoor walks begin in the Lower-Level Classrooms starting at 5:15 pm and 7:15 pm.

Led by our partners at CPAWS Manitoba, take a one-hour guided stroll through Winnipeg’s Exchange District as we trace the journey of water—from the Lake Winnipeg Watershed all the way to Hudson Bay. Along the way, we’ll explore water’s deep connections to land, people, and community. Come discover how we’re all linked through the flow of water.

Hands-on Fun in the Science Gallery

Science Gallery – 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Planetarium

Planetarium, 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
