How do I become a member of the Manitoba Museum?

You can join by buying your membership online, by visiting the Box Office, or by contacting the membership office at 204-998-0647.

How can I renew my membership?

You can renew your membership by logging in to your account online, visiting the Box Office, by contacting the Membership Office at 204-988-0647, or by mailing a cheque with your renewal application form to:

How many people can be on a Family membership?

A Family Membership includes two adults (18+) and three youth (3-17). Members can add additional people onto their Family Membership for a fee (Adult Add-On: $30.00 / Youth Add-On: $20.00). A maximum of three add-ons applies.

How do I purchase a membership as a gift?

Gift memberships can be purchased online, at the Box Office, or by calling our Membership Office at 204-988-0647. To activate a gift membership, the recipient must present the gift voucher at the Box Office during their next visit. Please note that gift memberships are not activated at the time of purchase and cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Please note: Memberships are processed and prepared for shipping within five business days. Please allow Canada Post additional time to deliver your purchase.

Can I get a refund on my membership?

No, Manitoba Museum memberships are non-refundable.

How long is an annual membership valid for at the Manitoba Museum?

Annual memberships are valid until the end of the month, one year after the date of purchase.

When will I receive my membership card(s)?

If you purchase your membership in person at the Box Office, you will receive your card(s) immediately. If you purchase your membership online, you can either pick up your membership card(s) at the Box Office during your next visit or choose to have your card(s) mailed to you.

How can I use my membership to visit other science centres and museums across Canada?

Members of the Manitoba Museum receive free or discounted admission to 30+ science centres and museums across Canada through the CASC and ANHMC reciprocal agreements.

In order to benefit from the reciprocal agreements at a participating science centres or museums, the members must live more than 150 km (“as the crow flies”) from the centre they wish to visit.

Please show the welcome letter you received when purchasing or renewing your membership as proof of valid membership along with your member card(s) when visiting other science centres and museums across Canada.

If you have lost or missed placed your membership welcome letter, please contact the Membership Office at [email protected] to have a new letter emailed to you.

I paid general admission and now want to become a member. Can I apply my admission purchase towards my membership purchase?

Yes, the cost of your general admission tickets can be applied towards a membership. Please bring in your admission tickets and receipt to the Box Office within two weeks of purchase. Admission to any of our temporary exhibitions or special programs/events cannot be included in the admission to membership upgrade.

As a member, do I need to wait in line for a ticket to the Museum?

No, members can skip the Box Office line and enjoy express entry into our permanent attractions – the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and Science Gallery. Membership cards must be presented to the staff member at each area entrance. Photo identification may also be requested at the point of entry. For temporary exhibitions, members will have the option to purchase member-priced admission to the exhibition at the Box Office.

Is entry to Temporary Exhibitions included with my membership?

No, temporary exhibitions are not included in the price of a membership. Members can take advantage of our discounted temporary exhibition rates by visiting the Box Office to purchase tickets.

How can I update my contact information?

To update your contact information so you can continue to receive information about upcoming programs and events, please visit the Box Office, or contact the Membership Office at 204-988-0647, or [email protected]

Can someone else use my membership?

No, Manitoba Museum memberships (not including Organization Memberships) are non-transferable. Only the individual whose name appears on the membership card is entitled to member benefits.

My membership card was lost/stolen, how do I replace it?

To replace your membership card(s), please visit the box office. A card replacement fee applies for each lost or stolen card.

I never received my membership card(s). Who should I contact?

How do Organization Memberships work?

Individuals visiting under an Organization Membership must be in possession of a valid Manitoba Museum membership card (1 card per visitor) to gain entry to the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, or Science Gallery, and/or to be eligible for member rates to temporary exhibitions.

Children 0-2 are free, but what happens if my child turns 3 during the membership year?

Once the child turns 3 years of age, members will need to add-on their child to their Family Membership or upgrade their membership category. The child’s card will expire the same date as the original membership.
