Summer Day Camps

Due to uncertainties and challenges related to COVID-19, we will not be offering a Day Camp for Summer 2021.

We hope to see you next year!

The Manitoba Museum offers two different summer camps. The Discovery Camp and the Adventure Camp alternate throughout the summer so your kids can enjoy a single week, or two weeks in a row! Summer camps include a variety of activities including hands-on science demos and take-home crafts, time aboard the Nonsuch, and visits to our Museum Galleries.

Discover our community, our planet, and beyond through science and history! Become a junior paleontologist and learn how to use fossils as evidence. Travel back 100 years to learn about the people and events that have shaped our city. Look closely in our own backyards to discover all the weird and wonderful things that live in Manitoba, and then venture across the ocean on board the Nonsuch, and into outer space to discover the unknown. Find out how scientists make magic happen!

Day 1 – Junior Paleontologists – How do we know about dinosaurs? Discover the world of fossils.

Day 2 – Winnipeg Rewind – All about the city we call home, from 100 years ago to today.

Day 3 – In Your Backyard – Discover the animals and plants that live in your backyard.

Day 4 – Into the Unknown – Exploration across the globe and into our solar system.

Day 5 – Real-Life Wizards – How science makes the impossible happen.

(Schedule of daily themes subject to change.)

Come on a grand adventure across time and space! Explore the Arctic to see how we survive chilly Northern winters. Learn about the ickiest parts of science and history, as well as the coolest inventions through time. Take on the challenge of change as we investigate seasons, our environment, and the climate. Blast off into outer space to find out about our solar system and beyond!

Day 1 – Amazing Arctic – Brrr! How humans, animals, and plants learn to live in the chilly North.

Day 2 – Eww-ology – All the stuff in history and nature that makes us say “ick!”

Day 3 – Marvelous Inventions – Innovations of the past, present, and future.

Day 4 – The Challenge of Change – All about seasons, climate, and the environment.

Day 5 – Over the Moon – Venture into outer space to learn about planets, stars, and the unknown.

(Schedule of daily themes subject to change.)
