Manitoba Museum Offers Tips for Surviving Apocalypse

Surviving the Apocalypse

Winnipeg MB (October 31, 2016): On Thursday, November 3, 2016 between 7 pm and 11 pm, the Manitoba Museum will host an evening of fun where visitors will learn how to survive on the Prairies in the event of an apocalypse. Whether it’s caused by super virus, a killer asteroid, or an alien invasion – the end of the world would present some interesting challenges for any survivors. At Surviving the Apocalypse, the Museum’s latest event geared for adults, visitors will learn how to adapt and survive at activity and information stations located throughout the Museum Galleries.

There will be flint knapping demonstrations, where you will learn how to make your own tools. Experts, including Museum curators, will teach you what plants are safe to eat in the Manitoba wilderness. You can even take part in a cricket eating challenge – and learn the benefits of eating lower on the food chain.

Dance in the Foyer to the music provided by DJ King Cabernet and enjoy signature refreshments. Surviving the Apocalypse happens at one of the city’s most iconic venues – the Manitoba Museum. Tickets are $15 and $12 for Museum members.

Please note that zombies and aliens are NOT welcome at this event and costumed crusaders will be asked to unmask at the door.
