|Winnipeg, MB (October 30, 2020): Effective November 2, 2020, the Manitoba Museum Galleries will be temporarily closed to the public due to the health restrictions implemented today by the province associated with COVID-19. The Planetarium will be closing earlier, on Saturday, October 31. Both venues, as well as the Science Gallery, will be closed until further notice.
The Museum will continue to offer virtual education and public programs that can be enjoyed at home or in the classroom. Museum lovers, teachers, and home-learners can enjoy online content and at-home activities and are encouraged to visit the Museum’s website ManitobaMuseum.ca for rich and dynamic digital offerings throughout the closure.
“Though people may be disappointed to see us close again, we are fully prepared to continue offering online experiences. Protecting our community is everyone’s top priority,” says Claudette Leclerc, Executive Director and CEO of the Manitoba Museum.
The Manitoba Museum remains committed to diligently adhering to all public health orders, restrictions, and guidelines issued by the province in their efforts to halt the spread and risks associated with COVID-19.
