Summer Day Camps 2019

The Manitoba Museum offers two different summer camps. The Discovery Camp and the Adventure Camp alternate throughout the summer so your kids can enjoy a single week or two weeks in a row! Summer camps include a variety of hands-on science and immersive history activities.

Discovery Camp

Through storytelling, discover the art, history, and people of Manitoba. Take on the challenge of change as we investigate seasons, our environment, and the climate. All systems go as we find out how technology, science and space exploration shape our lives. Learn about the importance of Manitoba’s waterways for the past and future, and dive into the weird and wonderful world of animals with Animal Inside Out.

Day 1: The Stories We Tell – Storytelling in the galleries through art, colour, oral histories, and people.

Day 2: The Challenge of Change – All about seasons, climate, and the environment.

Day 3: Up the Creek Without a Paddle – The importance of Manitoba waterways for the past and future.

Day 4: All Systems Go – Technology, science, and space exploration as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing.

Day 5: Getting Under The Skin – The weird and wonderful world of animals.
