Friday, May 6th, 2016: Wine and Words (presented in partnership with Theatre by the River)

Planetarium/Science Gallery 7PM to 11PM

Since its first production in 2010, Wine & Words has celebrated the written works of Canadian musicians, poets, playwrights, authors, and storytellers. At the event, professional actors and celebrities present dramatized readings of new works composed by established and emerging writers. Join us as we celebrate not-yet-published pieces from established and emerging writers themed to Space, Exploration and the Infinite Universe! Hosted by Lara Rae and featuring a cast of local celebrities and professional actors, the 2016 event will come to life under the Planetarium Dome!

Tickets are $30 and are available through Theatre by the River.

Thursday, October 8th, 2015: Sputnik Night

Planetarium/Science Gallery/Earth Explorers exhibit  7PM to 1 AM

Celebrate World Space Week with a planetarium party in the style of our famous "Yuri's Night" events! We'll be running the special planetarium program, Dawn of the Space Age at 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30, and then turning the planetarium over to DJs Lotek and Manalogue (THE SHAKE) for a fulldome video space dance party! Space programming and cash bar in the Science Gallery, and free pizza is also included with your admission. Tickets are $15 ($12 for Manitoba Museum members).

Thursday, November 19th: Ice Night

Planetarium/Science Gallery  7PM to 11PM

Come and enjoy a drink in the science gallery and hear about how climate change in Canada's north is affecting people, animals and the world. We'll also run the planetarium show, "Ice Worlds" and visit the Earth Explorers exhibit. Tickets are $15 ($12 for Manitoba Museum members).

Thursday, February 11th, 2016: Safari Night - SOLD OUT!

Museum/Earth Explorers exhibit  7PM to 11PM

Spend time in the Earth Explorers exhibit, and see some of National Geographic's most famous images displayed and deconstructed by expert photographers. Bring your own camera, and go on a safari in the Museum Galleries with an expert guide who will show you how to capture images of wildlife in the field. There will be a cash bar in the Museum foyer, and free pizza is included with your ticket. Tickets are $15 ($12 for Manitoba Museum members) - SOLD OUT!

Tuesday, April 12th, 2016: Yuri's Night 2016

Planetarium/Science Gallery  7PM to 1AM

The biggest space party in Manitoba is back! Yuri's Night celebrates the first human spaceflight by Yuri Gagarin on April 12th, 1961. We'll have space programming and rocket science in the Science Gallery, along with a cash bar and space-themed costume contest. In the Planetarium, DJs Manalogue and Lotek (THE SHAKE) will headline a line-up of DJs and VJs for a dance party under the planetarium dome. Tickets are $15 ($12 for Manitoba Museum members).

Saturday, April 23rd, 2016: Safari Night
