Product Description

The painting Bull Moose Following the Herd was created in 1957 by noted Canadian wildlife painter Clarence Tillenius. The work is part of a series of paintings of Canada’s wildlife and wilderness landscapes, Monarch of the Canadian Wild, commissioned by the Monarch Life Assurance Co. The company produced lithographic prints that were distributed in schools throughout the country. In addition to painting, Tillenius created numerous dioramas including the iconic depiction of a bison hunt that welcomes visitors to the Manitoba Museum.
