Product Description

This pink felted cloche hat was worn by Hazel McMillan when she was a bridesmaid for her twin sister Myrtle’s wedding to Eric Crawford in 1929. According to the label, it was purchased in the “French Room” at The T. Eaton Co. Limited. The hat features wing like pleats on each side and deeper mauve grosgrain ribbon bows.

Hazel and Myrtle were born in Donald, B.C. in 1887 and moved to Winnipeg as teenagers when their father John took on the position of General Manager of Canadian Pacific Telegraph.
