Product Description

Do you remember frost shields? Before car window defrosters became standard on vehicles, these thin pieces of glass or plastic with a rubber gasket were designed to give the driver a clear, frost-free view. Under the Highway Traffic Act, they were required on motor vehicles between November 1 and March 31 each year – and the law is still in effect. This frost shield was manufactured by James B. Carter, Ltd., Winnipeg.  As you might expect, Winnipeg was an important centre for the production of frost shields.
