Product Description

This is “Nipper”, a black and white pup of Smooth Fox Terrier stock, who has become world-famous as the trademark of the RCA-Victor Company, originally the Victor Talking Machine Company. Nipper was introduced in the early 20th century (circa 1900) and used in advertising, usually pictured in the same pose as this figurine, looking into a speaking horn of a gramophone, with “His Master’s Voice” printed beneath. This figurine was likely used in a store display advertising RCA-Victor.
