This early 19th century desk calendar consists of a polished wooden case with separate rollers to move the paper to advance the month, day of the week, and date. It is believed that this desk calendar had been left at Fort Chipewyan in northern Alberta by the iconic and tragic Arctic explorer Sir John Franklin
