Product Description

Duncan Ducharme worked as a guide, decoy carver, trapper, and fisherman from his home in St. Ambrose, Manitoba. The Métis carver developed his own personal style based on the teaching of his father and uncle, Little Joe and Dan Ducharme. This Canvasback Drake decoy, made of cedar and oil based paint, was created around 1953. It was made for Bob Gaylord, an American industrialist and supporter of the Delta Waterfowl Research Station and Ducks Unlimited. This decoy can be viewed in the Parklands/Mixed Woods Gallery.
