Manitoba Museum Closes Temporarily on March 14

Winnipeg, MB (March 13, 2020): Effective Saturday, March 14, 2020, the Manitoba Museum will be closed to the public until further notice, due to the public health risks associated with COVID-19. This includes the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and the Science Gallery. All public and school programs are also suspended.

“We regret the impact of this decision on the communities we serve, including families, students, tourists, and our members. However, we think this is in the best interests of our visitors and staff,” says Claudette Leclerc, Executive Director and CEO on the Manitoba Museum.

The Public Health Agency of Canada and Manitoba Health continue to assess the COVID-19 public health risk as low for the general population, but notes that this could change rapidly
