This Too Shall Pass: A History of Epidemics in Winnipeg

Thursday, May 28 • 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Covid-19 is on everyone’s minds these days, but did you know that Winnipeg experienced many other epidemics between 1900 and the 1950s? Join Dr. Leah Morton, Curatorial Assistant (History), for a discussion about how Winnipeggers lived through epidemics such as typhoid fever, influenza, and polio and how public health officials worked to contain and control these diseases.

No registration required.  View it live on the Manitoba Museum Facebook page or join the Zoom webinar by clicking on this link (or copying it into your browser) just before 2:00 on the 28th

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89845121240  For the best experience, download the Zoom app ahead of time.

Interested in booking this program for your class?  Please contact Anya at amoodiefoster@manitobamuseum.ca
