Step back in time and join us for a rare look at the Nonsuch cargo hold during the once-a-year event. Each year we pull back the ropes and let visitors step below deck into the mysterious cargo hold of the Nonsuch to see first hand what the voyage would have been like. During this tour, our guide will take you through the hold of the 17th-century ship where you will get to see some of the bunks used by the crew, the kitchen galley, and examples furs and other goods being brought back to England.
Storytelling at the Nonsuch
December 28, 29, and January 7 • 12:30-3:30 PM
Storyteller Matthew Evan Havens presents captivating, family-friendly stories based on centuries-old Canadian and European folktales.
Matthew has been writing and telling both original stories and adapted folk tales and legends to audiences since 2015. In fact, his very first stories were inspired by and told right here, at the Manitoba Museum! Matthew loves to enchant people with the spoken word, make them laugh, open their minds, and possibly learn something too!
