How to Choose a Telescope

December 2 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$30

Event Navigation

Instructor: Scott Young, planetarium astronomer

Selecting a first telescope is like buying a car: there’s no “best” model, but there is one that best fits its owner. Learn the basics of telescopes and what to look for when selecting a first telescope, whether for yourself or as a gift. See different telescopes up close, learn what accessories are useful, and ask questions.

Fee: $30 ($25 for members); combine this course with “Using Your New Telescope” in January and save!  Take both courses for only $50 ($45 for members).

For more information or to register, contact our Registration Coordinator at 204-988-0626 or email programs@manitobamuseum.ca.

NOTE: The Manitoba Museum reserves the right to cancel the courses due to low registrations. Prices may change without notice.
