Explore the universe live with Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young. Find constellations and planets in the real sky, and explore space science with hands-on activities and experiments. As pioneering Canadian astronomer Helen Sawyer Hogg always said, “The stars belong to everyone.” Learn how to find your stars and get to know the night sky.
In this week’s episode, we’ll explore our nearest neighbour in space: the Moon. Discover the pattern behind the moon’s changing appearance, and explore the craters of the moon up close through a telescope. Plus, find constellations and planets in the night sky. This is a great episode for anyone doing in-class or remote learning of the Grade 6 “Exploring the Solar System” science curriculum!
