Virtual Planetarium Workshop: Choosing a First Telescope with Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young

November 10, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We are bringing this event back by popular demand!
Remote Workshop
Tuesday, November 10 • 7 pm to 9 pm
(Zoom link to be provided on registration)

Buying a telescope is like buying a car: the best choice depends on your experience level and what you want to do with it. Come and learn the ins and outs of telescopes, with specific recommendations by our Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young.

The workshop features basics of telescope operation, what you can expect to see with it, and what features of a telescope are important. We’ll bust some myths about telescopes as well, to ensure you don’t wind up with a telescope that doesn’t work for you.

Workshop participants will be able to order their own telescopes as part of a bulk buy (timed to arrive before the holiday season), to save on shipping, duty, and other charges.

Registration
$20 per person ($15 for Museum Members)
