Celebrate Earth Day with virtual programs all week long!
In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, the Manitoba Museum is hosting a series of virtual field trips related to sustainability, biodiversity and the environment. School classes, homeschoolers, families or any member of the general public are invited to join for free!
Lake Winnipeg has been named internationally as one of the most endangered lakes in the world and is on the verge of becoming a “dead” lake within a decade. In this virtual field trip, geared towards students in grades 7-12, participants affect change using the award-winning Lake Winnipeg: Shared Solutions simulator and learn what the ingredients are for a healthy lake. Explore how humans interact with the lake and the unintended consequences of those actions. Learn about the many things you can do to protect and restore Lake Winnipeg.
Can you be a champion of change?
Registration for this program is FREE.
