Join the Manitoba Museum’s Curator of History, Dr. Roland Sawatzky, for an in-depth tour of Strike 1919: Divided City. This immersive exhibition will transport you back to Winnipeg in 1919, when 30,000 workers took to the streets to protest poor working conditions, stagnant wages, and mass unemployment.
Following the gallery tour, participants are welcome to join Dr. Sawatzky at Little Brown Jug for further conversation, while enjoying a pint of aptly named “1919” beer.
Tour will begin at the Manitoba Museum and will last approximately 1 hour. Following the tour, participants will walk with Museum staff over to Little Brown Jug on William Avenue, about a 10-minute walk from the Museum.
General $26 + GST / Members $21 + GST
Ticket price includes one alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage of your choosing. Light snacks and additional beverages will be available for purchase.
Ticket holders are welcome to explore the Museum Galleries before the tour.
