December 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The annual Geminid meteor shower is the year’s best time to see falling stars. We’ll talk about what we can expect to see, when to watch, and what exactly is the difference between meteors, meteoroids, and meteorites. We’ll also show you how to help chart the vastness of space from your backyard just by counting meteors, a great example of citizen science.

Plus, winter constellations and other cool space stuff.

[email protected] is a weekly series of FREE virtual programming inviting Manitobans to explore the universe with Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young.

As pioneering Canadian astronomer Helen Sawyer Hogg always said, “The stars belong to everyone.”
