Join us each month and choose your own learning adventure with our new Discovery Days. Whether you are looking for a curriculum-connected field trip for your home learner or a day out for some family fun, each Discovery Day will have themed gallery trails to follow, Loudspeaker Talks or artifact studies with Museum Educators, and crafts activities to do all while maintaining proper health and social distancing precautions.
For our October Discovery Days, learn about the amazing animals that live right here in the province of Manitoba! Activities will include a hands-on animal craft in Alloway Hall (also available for you to take home), live, in-person Q&A with a Museum Educator in our Boreal Forest Gallery during our new “Loudspeaker Talks,” and downloadable, curriculum-focused activity trails to take you on an animal adventure through the Museum Galleries.
Loudspeaker Talks start at 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm, but you can also drop-in throughout the day to ask questions of our Learning team.
