November 27th, WEDNESDAY, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
They say a painting is worth a thousand words, but a diorama is worth at least a thousand more. Dioramas have a rich and fascinating story, which features in the history of aesthetics, the history of technical innovation regarding optical illusion, the history of taxidermy and artistic skill, as well as the scientific study of ecological relationships.
Join Senior Exhibit Designer Jaya Beange to learn more about the historical significance and the diverse elements that go into creating one of these museum masterpieces.
Location: Auditorium
Free with Admission • Attendance to the Brown Bag Lunch Series is included with paid admission to any Museum area – the Museum Galleries, the Science Gallery, or the Planetarium.
