Brown Bag Lunch Series: S.S. Baychimo – The Adventures of the Ghost Ship of the Arctic

April 2, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Brown Bag Lunch Series: S.S. Baychimo – The Adventures of the Ghost Ship of the Arctic
By: Cortney Pachet, Assistant Curator, Hudson’s Bay Company Museum Collection

April 2nd, TUESDAY
12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Free with Admission

The Hudson’s Bay Company has a rich and dramatic nautical history, marked by tragic fires, shipwrecks and loss.  Abandoned by her crew after becoming trapped in Arctic ice in 1931, the HBC steamer S.S. Baychimo began a solo journey that remains one of the most persisting mysteries in company history.

Join Cortney, Assistant Curator, Hudson’s Bay Company Museum Collection, as she explores the epic adventure of the S.S. Baychimo through the frigid Arctic waters.
