We’ve got a real moon rock! NASA has loaned us a rock collected during the Apollo 17 mission to the Moon. Come and learn what it tells us about the moon’s origins, and hear the harrowing tale of how it journeyed from the Earth to the Moon, and then back again! Complementing the moon rock is a giant globe of the Moon, used to train Apollo astronauts to navigate on their historic missions. You can also touch a real meteorite and test your knowledge in the “Meteorite or Meteor-Wrong?” quiz. Explore the Moon with a LEGO robotic rover in the Boeing Explore Science Gallery. While you’re here, also visit the Planetarium Star Theatre for Back to the Moon, which recounts the past, present and future of lunar exploration.
