(Winnipeg, MB, September 9, 2020): As an additional precautionary measure against COVID-19 transmission, the Manitoba Museum is implementing a mandatory face covering policy, efective Thursday, September 10. All visitors will be asked to wear a face mask that covers their nose and mouth while at the Manitoba Museum.
Masks will be required for anyone over the age of four. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own; however, those who arrive without a mask can purchase one for $1 at the Box Office or Reception.
Exemptions will be made for visitors who cannot wear a mask for medical reasons, children under the age of five, and those requiring other accommodation as outlined by the Manitoba Human Rights Commission.
Visitors will be reminded by staff, security, and public announcements to continue to wear their masks while in the Foyer, Museum Galleries, Planetarium, washrooms, and all other common areas. Visitors will also be asked to continue to pay attention to signage, practice physical distancing, wash or sanitize their hands, and stay home if they are not feeling well.
