Starting in April, Dr. Bizecki-Robson will share with visitors interesting facts about her work at The Museum and the research she is conducting. You may subscribe to the RSS feed so you will never miss a post!

In the meantime, here is a short description of the projects Diana recently completed:

  • Completed Western Silvery Aster pollination field and lab work.
  • Presentation on Western Silvery Aster pollination at Entomology Society of Canada conference (Oct. 20, 2009).
  • Co-chair of “Changes in Species Conservation” workshop at 9th Prairie Conservation and Endangered Species conference, February 2010.

Dr. Diana Bizecki Robson

Dr. Bizecki Robson obtained a Master’s Degree in Plant Ecology at the University of Saskatchewan studying the rare plants of the mixed grass prairies. After a few years of working as an environmental consultant and sessional lecturer, she got her Ph.D. in Soil Science from the same University, this time focusing on phytoremediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated soil using native and naturalized plants. Diana joined The Manitoba Museum team in 2003.
