Winnipeg, MB (March 14, 2019): The GOAT Artisan Market, a two-day event, features the work of artisans working in Manitoba and features inspiring products and refreshments, as well as craft activities for the kids. This unique shopping experience is an opportunity for lovers of Manitoba to see how artists interpret our province and reflect it in their unique Manitoba-made crafts and giftware, including jewelry, bath and beauty, pottery, art, housewares, plants, toys, and so much more! The GOAT Artisan Market takes place on March 23 and 24 between 10 am and 6 pm in the Manitoba Museum’s Alloway Hall.
From goats’ milk to antlers, beeswax to berries, prairie vistas to weather wood, antique tools to sustainable solutions, The GOAT Artisan Market promotes Manitoba and supports Manitoba artists, many of whom give back to the community. For instance, Creature Comforts Candles gives 25% of its profits to animal shelters and Laura’s UnderThere providing underwear made from upcycled fabric to the homeless.
Admission to the GOAT Artisan Market is $5 or FREE with the purchase of admission to any of the Museum areas and for Members.
Proceeds from The GOAT Artisan Market support educational programs at the Manitoba Museum.
